One of my favorite things about  Christmas  is decorating the tree.  I like my tree to look like a holiday drag queen, all sparkly and over the top. It is  strange that I made such a sweet diminutive ornament.  I seriously don't know where that came from, not  a speck of glitter insight !

I used my blue bird bead and men twig bead. I made a birds nest out  of angelina fiber and added a couple of sparkly glass beads to make a birds nest ornament.

Tradition has it that finding a birds nest in your  Christmas tree is good luck.  I am pretty sure that refers to a real live Christmas tree, not the artificial kind you store in the attic.

  1. LOL at the Drag Queen comment. You ornament is sweet and perfectly formed ( I love it) and dare I say it... ever so slightly sparkly looking. So take heart dear, the 'Drag' is in there if you look, perhaps you could make another and wear them as earrings on the big day ;-)

You simply cannot go wrong with a birdie ornament! He is adorable! Perhaps he is a cookoo? They are attracted to shiny things and maybe that is why he found his way to your "drag queen" collection LOL

LOL, probably not such good luck for the bird either. Such a sweet ornament, your birdy looks really cosy in that nest.
