Art Bead Scene Ornament Blog Hop

I love glitter and the holidays are an excuse  to get sparkly.
I also love vintage ornaments and decorations.
My ornament was inspired by the old Putz Houses from the 50's, you remember the cardboard  glitter ones that used to sit under the tree.

My  ornament is a miniature putz house  complete with glittered pine tree. Hmmmmmm...

I wonder if I could get glitter to stick to the roof of my actual house? That would really be cool.

    I had those little houses under my tree when I was a child .
    What a lovely and nostalgic theme .
    Perfect for the time of year we celebrate

    Oh - Freaking Awesome Diane!!! You know - I have to admit - I have a thing recently for glitter. I never really knew how awesome it is and attractive to me it is - but I am now very self aware of it. And I agree - Glitter on your roof would be Fantastic! Like a little snow globe big house :) These are fantastic ornaments!!!

    I never knew I was a "glitter-girl" til now, Diane... these are the cutest ever! Rather than climb on your roof with buckets of glitter, it might be easier (and safer!) to make yourself a little replica of su casa!

    Well when you talked about your stripper dreams I was a bit worried, but you came up with a very beautiful ornament. I really think it is one of my favorites.

    But glitter on the roof?..geesh!

    I snorted a bit when you mentioned your g-string, Miss Diane. Now that WOULD be something to see hanging on a tree! ;-)

    I am only just learning about what a Putz house is. I have this obsession with little houses and trees. And recently I started a winter landscape on my mantel that I will share soon.     Love your ornaments, they are beautiful! I remember those houses, we had some when I was a child. They were always my favorite Christmas decorations because of the sparkles!
